About Relationship Issues
Not everyone with a relationship problem arrives with their partner. Sometimes the person who wants to work on it is the only one in the room, and that is still worth doing.
Relationship issues and domestic abuse are two of the three top specialties. Training includes a 40-hour Domestic Violence training under California Evidence Code section 1037.1 and Advanced Mandated Reporter training.
If both partners want to work on the relationship together, couples therapy is the service for that.
Areas of treatment may include:
- Relationship difficulties
- Family conflict
- Interpersonal conflict
- Communication difficulties
- Recovery following high-conflict relationships
- Adjustment to significant life changes

Clinical and forensic services are distinct professional activities. The existence of a therapeutic relationship does not automatically establish a forensic evaluator or expert-witness relationship. Services are provided only within the provider's education, training, professional scope, current licensure status, supervision requirements, and applicable California law.
