About Trauma Treatment

You do not have to retell everything that happened in order to start. Trauma-informed care means the work moves at a pace you can carry, and you decide what gets talked about and when.

Training includes EMDR. The work also draws on Cognitive Processing Therapy, trauma-focused care, and attachment-based approaches.

This is not a separate program. It is what individual therapy focuses on when trauma is the reason you came in.

Areas of treatment may include:

  • Trauma and trauma-related symptoms
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Difficult childhood experiences
  • Recovery following high-conflict relationships
  • Adjustment to significant life changes
  • Coping skills

All clinical therapy services

Clinical and forensic services are distinct professional activities. The existence of a therapeutic relationship does not automatically establish a forensic evaluator or expert-witness relationship. Services are provided only within the provider's education, training, professional scope, current licensure status, supervision requirements, and applicable California law.
